ACES and PIES for wheel and tire catalogs
ACES (Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard) ties a SKU to vehicles. PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) describes the SKU. Together they are how distributors share fitment — and a foundation for AI-readable catalogs.
ACES is the Auto Care standard for which vehicles a part fits. PIES is the Auto Care standard for product attributes (size, finish, brand). Wheel catalogs still need offset, bolt pattern and hub bore on top of a basic vehicle match.
Why distributors use them
A feed in ACES/PIES can update fitment and stock without rewriting every product title by hand. Momentum Fitment maps Shopify catalogs to this kind of fitment data and keeps it current from distributor feeds.
What wheels still require
A vehicle match can still sell a wheel that rubs. Publish offset and bore with the ACES vehicle list so both shoppers and assistants see a complete fit.
